Featured Vendor of the Week: Wooly Goat Soap

Wooly Goat Soap brings handmade, all-natural goat’s milk soap and other bath, body, and laundry products to the Leduc Farmers Market. A proud vendor for three years and counting, we’re always excited to see what new inventions they have to offer.

The inception of their product line began in 2014 with an experiment! As a leader for the Junior Forest Wardens, connecting young people and their families with natural skills, Carmen Dabels decided to learn and teach the ancient art of soap making to the kids. The whole experience and end-product were so well received, she decided to launch into business and share with her community!

Made without the use of perfumes, fragrance oils, or dyes, Wooly Goat products are perfect for people with sensitive skin. Naturally healing ingredients like lavender, neem, bentonite clay, and more are blended to provide a nourishing alternative to conventional products with harsh chemicals. From 8 thieves and after-tattoo salves to bath bombs and mud masks, this Meadow Lake, Saskatchewan creator has you covered.

One of their soap innovations we love most are those that have been hand felted with a combination of sheep, alpaca, or llama wool! The wool cover on the soap forms a luxurious lather and also actually allows the soap to dry faster — making it the ideal companion for camping, hiking, and travel.

You can find Wooly Goat Soap and dozens of other amazing vendors at the Leduc Farmers Market every Thursday from 10 am to 1:30 pm at the Leduc Recreation Centre (4330 Black Gold Dr). “Meeting new people” is Carmen’s favourite part about being a vendor at Leduc Farmers Market, so make sure you stop by her booth and say hello!
