One of the newest vendors at the Leduc Farmers Market is serving up tasty French Macarons! Though it’s only their first year as a vendor, Whipped Up Baked Goods from Edmonton is “loving the friendliness and tight-knit community feel,” commenting that it is “always a joy to come to the Leduc market and find out what’s happening in the community.”
The company started in 2015 with an authentic love of baking and Macarons. Owner, Kandace Kobryn, was sold after taking her first bite at a local bakery!
“The great thing about Macarons is how versatile they are for flavouring and colouring! It allows me to think outside the box and stray away from traditional flavours. I pull from childhood memories to create little bites of nostalgia and a fun new experience for customers.” - Kandace Kobryn, Owner of Whipped Up Baked Goods Out-of-the-box flavours, indeed! From Saskatoon Berry and Nanaimo Bar to Sour Cherry Blaster and Madagascar Bourbon Vanilla, her creations are always evolving — a surprise to look forward to every Thursday from 10am - 1:30pm at Leduc Recreation Center (4330 Black Gold Dr).
We believe two of the greatest benefits to attending the Leduc Farmers Market are being able to support local business and to walk away the freshest products. In alignment, Whipped Up Baked Goods’ has made the commitment to using fresh and local ingredients whenever possible — just another reason to swoon over their sweet treats!
Drool over macaroons and stay in-the-loop with Whipped Up Baked Goods by following them on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.

Meet the Meat Traders from Medicine Hat! We love to hear that after 3 years at the Leduc Farmers Market, it’s the community vibes and loyal customers that keep them coming back!
At their stand you’ll see a variety of Soft Beef Jerky, Beef Bits, Caesar Sticks, and Fermented Pepperoni — all direct from their family Ranch in Southeast Alberta.
Their family ranch was established 83 years ago and since they launched the jerky business in 2007, the wisdom of four-generations of family have influenced the growth and success of their product line!
To create the Jerky, they use a blend of both the succulent and flavourful locomotive muscles and the tender structural muscles to reach their famously soft and distinct texture. With wild flavours like Chipotle-lime and Habanero to the Teriyaki and Original classics, it’s a must-try for any local-supporting carnivore. Using 100% quality Canadian beef, MHMT is proud to offer a true Alberta beef snacking experience. In light of Canada’s 150th birthday, MHMT shows just how Canadian they are with their Beef Jerky Caesar Sticks — just the thing to take your summer caesar game to the next level. Their cheeky note next to the storage instructions — “Just in case you don’t devour the whole bag!” — left us laughing!
Along with our wonderful visitors, the vendors at our market are a big part of what makes the Leduc Farmers Market such a success. Whether they attend multiple markets throughout the area or are just unique to Leduc, they each share a common characteristic: they are extremely passionate about what they do. We want to share their story with you by featuring one of our vendors each week. You’ll learn the why behind their business and the reason they love coming back to Leduc. Check back tomorrow for our first featured vendor! |
